Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What type of clothing do I need to wear on the trip?

A: We always tell our customers to wear lightweight clothing, and don’t forget to bring your sunscreen. We recommend that you wear soft-soled shoes for your comfort.

Q: How do I handle fish cleaning?

A: While you are out on the water, the fish are put directly into an ice chest once they are caught. Once we return from the trip, we have a deckhand who will clean the fish to your personal liking and put them in gallon bags. We ask that you please bring an ice chest with you so you will have a way to transport your fish after they are all cleaned.

Q: What do I need to bring on the trip?

A: We take care of all of your ice, bait, tackle, and fishing license needs for the trip. All you need to bring is what you would like to eat and drink. We have a refrigerator to keep your food cold, as well as an ice chest for your drinks.

Q: What is the normal gratuity amount for deckhands?

A: The normal gratuity amount for deckhands is 10% of the trip plus fish cleaning.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

A: If the trip is cancelled due to the weather, you can get a 100% refund or reschedule the trip. If cancelled for personal reasons, a two-week notice is required.

Q: How far offshore will we be fishing?

A: We may go anywhere from 10 to 25 miles offshore for 4.5 through 8 hour trips and possibly farther for 10 hour trips.

Q: What if I have more than 6 people in my party?

A: Due to Coast Guard regulations, the maximum amount of passengers we can carry is six.
